"STAVAX ESR" is a high-performance, precision stainless steel for plastic molds, developed by Uddeholm in Sweden, with a pre-hardened hardness of 30HRC. It has excellent corrosion resistance, superior polishability, machinability, and dimensional stability, surpassing SUS420J2. Additionally, due to its excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, it is less prone to stress corrosion cracking, which is a concern with SUS420 series steels.
